Week#1- Setting up G-mail & Hotmail

WEEK #1-  setting up G-mail & hotmail




These tasks were sent via email to be done for the next class;

1.             Create a Gmail account with contacts and group contact list 
2.           Create a Hotmail account with contacts and group contact list


To complete each task




1.            I logged on to www.gmail.com and www.msnhotmail.com
2.           Filled out  the basic information for setting up a new gmail & hotmail  account 
3.          I then signed into the gmail account and the new Hotmail account I created
4.           I search for and clicked on the drop down menu icon and selected contacts/people
5.           I added each email using the new contacts for my gmail account. 
6.           I then imported the contacts from my gmail account to my Hotmail account and then placed them into the new group  


My challenge while completing the task




- creating the group contact list on my Hotmail account 
and adding each individual email to my account.


Overcoming my challenges


Upon going to class the next day, the instructor carefully went through the process as a class activity and I was better able to understand and get it done on my own


At the end of the lesson


I was able to benefit from this learning experience knowing that emails are a tool for communication. I can now say that I have learnt how to create group contact lists with the use of different mediums. I am now better able to communicate with my classmates and instructors via email to send and receive important information at any given time.
