Week # 7- Social Networking

Social media is becoming an integral part of life online as social websites and applications proliferate.

Most traditional online media include social components, such as comment fields for users. In business, social media is used to market products, promote brands, connect to current customers and foster new business.  It can also be used as a tool for teaching and learning with the use  of Whats-app, Instagram, Facebook or Youtube  for sharing and communicating information.

During this week our instructor gave us a group assignment of which the task was to create a presentation on Wordle.

Wordle is a website that allows individuals to generate word clouds by typing or copying/pasting a text into the provided text box. Individuals can then design their word cloud by choosing the colors,the font,language,and format of their word cloud. Prezi
  

Prezi is a presentation tool that can be used as an alternative to traditional slide making programs such as PowerPoint. Instead of slides, Prezi makes use of one large canvas that allows you to pan and zoom to various parts of the canvas and emphasize the ideas presented there. Prezi supports the use of text, images, and videos and also provides a collection of templates to choose from to help new users get accustomed to the interface.

Use the arrow keys to navigate back and forth in the Prezi. You can also click and drag anywhere you want to go as well as zooming in and out. Try it out!
